Movies n' Shit
I'm not good with titles, especially ones for this blog. With my art files they're all titled shit like sdfgdkjfg.png or hi.png, and honestly I COULD do that for my blog too but I at least wanna kind of try to summarize what the entry is gonna be about. This one's gonna be pretty short since other than my brain going psycho as usual not much else is happening. Usually for short stuff like this I'd just can it but I figured y'know... spice it up IDK... get a little crazy.
Anyways... recently I watched The Mummy (1999) and Psycho (1960) for the first time. Both really good films, 4.5 stars. One of my few Understandable fears is really decomposed corpses where they're just rotted, slightly-meaty skeletons. Do you remember the mausoleum scene from The Haunted Mansion? That scared the shit out of me as a kid. I just watched it again right now and it STILL gives me the heebie-jeebies. That was a good movie too... anyways I'm getting off track; the point is the mummy in the movie actually made me SCREAM! TWICE!! I've never screamed during a horror movie! It looked so scary and cool until it got eyes, then it just looked stupid. Even then though it was an enjoyable movie! Maybe I should watch more movies about mummies? Or maybe more classic horror movies since... y'know, I haven't seen many of them.
Maybe I should go with "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" next? Apparently it's set in San Francisco, so maybe next time when I go there I can visit some of the places where they shot the film (if there are any, that is; maybe they filmed somewhere else and just said it's San Fran? Lol). There are a lot of movies I want to watch; Soylent Green, The Haunting, Don't Look Now, The Invisible Man and The Fly are all on my watch-list. I don't know how any of them end besides Soylent Green so I'm sure it'll be a fun time. Halloween is right around the corner too, and I want to put in more of an effort to make holidays fun again.
Speaking of Soylent, why would you name your food product that? Maybe that thought is a sign I should actually watch Soylent Green first....hmmm...
Edited to add 2 hours later: Just finished watching it, and I was right. WHY WOULD YOU NAME IT THAT?
